Originally founded on the former site of Alabama City, Fairhope, Alabama is the principal city in Baldwin county, on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay.

 

Over the years, it has evolved from a haven for artists, writers, and intellectuals, to an upscale suburb of Mobile, Alabama, and a popular resort vacation spot. In 2016, it was named “Best Small Town in the South” by Southern Living magazine and reached number five on the list of “Happiest Seaside Towns in America” by Coastal Living magazine.
